Can everyone can learn to paint?

At Sipping N' Painting Hampden, we are inspired by the late television painter Bob Ross®. Bob's biggest contribution to the artworld was probably not his artwork, his prophetic wisdom, his love of nature, or his ability to entertain, but instead, the insistence that everyone can learn to paint. Before Bob was on television in the 1980s and '90s, it was a popular belief that artists were either born with talent, or they had to have university degrees in the fine arts. What Bob demonstrated every week on his television show on PBS, is if you want to become an accomplished painter, you just need to put in the work. Just like anything else -- playing a sport, riding a bike, becoming a concert pianist or ballerina -- it is the dedication that makes you a master in your field. Remember the old joke, "Excuse me, sir. How do you get to Carnegie Hall?" The answer: "Practice, practice, practice!"
At Sipping N' Painting Hampden, our commitment is to provide fun, affordable, encouraging, community-based, beginning painting classes for people ages 6-106. We offer daily public acrylic classes, Certified Bob Ross® classes, and occasional watercolor and multi-media workshops. We also host fundraisers and private events. We hope you will come join us for a class very soon!
"Cheers!"
